Well HELLO! 9 weeks have passed and we are settling in.  I am so in love with our country home and cannot even imagine how great it will be when we have an entire HOME.  We are down to beams and will be starting the building back process.  This week the electricians, plumber and then framers will do their thing.  This is how we look today.

Oct 14th brought my 40th birthday and our oldest home for college FALL BREAK!  Reminder she moved the week prior to our move.  It was fun letting her experience the country life.  I assured her all scorpions had been seen outside.  Thursday I received a text from her that I LIE.  Go Ash..killed her first scorpion in the house..and like mom covered with a cup until Dad gets home.  She also had a guard dog.  TJ has some real OCD issues.

Life has been busy and full of lots of fun.  Hosted a air soft birthday party, had our girl home, finally putting out some  pretty things and enjoying the views.  This last weekend brought over 10 inches of rain which filled the tank and gave the kids some fun play time. IF this sounds good to you...the house across the road is on the market.

Be on the watch for updates - HERE WE GO!!!  BTW...our oldest AUSTIN is moving in NOV 2nd.  Let the adventure expand and continue.

Weekend #7 has come and gone.  So much was accomplished in the last two days.  I started out Saturday feeling very overwhelmed and ended Sunday seeing a light at the middle of the tunnel.  Well, really a third of the way but at least the demo is ABOUT done!!  Mr Glenn did a lot during the week which had to be cleaned up Saturday.  Our favorite  SILVER foxes were there to help!

Here is a glimpse of the house at the start of Saturday.  YES even Erin was helping...she is in OFF SEASON so hauling bricks should be EASY!  It took everyone to get the mess under control...because why???  I have control and mess issues.  And I can say that but Shawn cannot!

We took on HUNDREDS of nails and at the end of Saturday we were covered in dust and filth but the house was looking so much better!

THEN CAME SUNDAY...THE KITCHEN.  I won't go into details but FOR REAL. I had to have many conversations with myself.  Thankful that Jimmy is a crazy man with a sledge hammer!  Quote..."I need everyone to stop what they are doing and sweep or I might GO CRAZY!!!"  Who said that??? Yes me...and they did! They know better. :)

Looking at kitchen before...large closet area was the hot water heater and furnace. Both items are being moved.

Kitchen NOW

At the end of yesterday we were TIRED and DIRTY...we have a theme going.  As we sat on the patio relaxing before Mom & Dad left we had such a wonderful treat!  Colby coming running from the front...PUT THE DOG UP as he scoops up TJ and takes him into the house.  AND then the fun began.  There was a GOAT running from his owner who was on a  four wheeler.  He takes off to our back yard and the kids go the other way.  "Hey kids the goat will be coming around the house!!!'  They didn't listen so I grabbed my phone!  And then they came running...ENJOY!

Ended our day with a GREAT laugh and then a call to ASH!!

Loving the memories that are being made!!
And then there was MONDAY morning.

WHAT a weekend we had!!!! No work was done on the house...just time spent loving on family and friends.  Friday night was our High School homecoming football game.  This has been a chance for our youngest to take the field with the HS drill team for several years.  Extra special to sit next to my bestie (not a TEXAN) who just does not GET MUMS...she has 3 sons and vows to boycott mums. We decided jewelry is a better option.

Saturday we were up and out to visit our oldest at college for Family Day.  BUG DAY!

She left a week prior to our move to the country.  I cannot wait for her to come home on a break to experience all the things we have been telling her about.  Like driving home and seeing this walking down the road:

This is normal...RIGHT???????

Sunday was a yearly service event at church, BEChurch, where we give food to families in the community.  This is a always such a blessing.

Moving forward the next two weekends are ALL about GLENN Acres!!! There will be construction stories and pictures to come!

I would like to share last nights meal. PIZZAFFLES!!! Waffle pizza pockets.  I used all the pizza dough and added a few with biscuits so there would be more.  We loved them all but would use just biscuits in the future.  The kids are getting a kick out of the waffle iron meals.  Colby is missing Zestie French fries and wants me to try.  I am not so sure.

YUMM...Used the extra pizza sauce for DIPPING!!!!!!!!

To end this blog I want to share I have a lot of fears!  I have never seen and have always feared scorpions.  I am sure you know where this is going.  Sunday night I arrived home first from the grocery store.  While carrying groceries in I looked down to see something moving QUICKLY towards the open door.  Thank goodness for flip flops!  He was small but FAST!  I am learning to watch where I walk!

Country love to you!

FINALLY a Monday night at home.  Can you relate..work and home life keeping you busy.  Or should I say lack of being at home life.  We had a pretty low key night at home which was MUCH needed!

First OFF...did you know that GRANDS make Corn Bread??? Seriously!!!  I may not have an oven but I do have...my WAFFLE IRON!!!  Fun fact...Colby has never tried CORN Bread...because of the word CORN.  He loves corn..you know how it goes.  But put something in the waffle iron and tell him its just bread...WE HAVE ANOTHER WINNER.  I should also mention the little waffle squares are great for adding BUTTER!!!!  What it takes to get some warm bread..

Grab the cord babe!

Half biscuits!

SO GOOD!  Thank you GRANDS!

Then on to a little time outside.  What do you think our attack dog has spotted????

Did you guess....BUNNY???

Keep loving the people around you!!!!
